Welcome to the 99th edition of the South Africa Open Championship, which returns to Pearl Valley for the third consecutive year.

Three of South Africa’s most dominant young players will make the South African Open Championship at Pearl Valley Golf Estates this December their next major focus, with each seeking to cap a solid season with a victory in the second oldest Open in golf.

Richard Sterne has set his sights on becoming the first back-to-back winner of the South African Open Championship since Trevor Immelman in 2003/04 when he defends his title in the 99 th edition of the second oldest national Open at Pearl Valley Golf Estates from 17-20 December 2009.

With just over a month remaining before the 99th South African Open Championship, Pearl Valley Golf Estates is being primed to perfection for its hosting of this co-sanctioned European Tour and Sunshine Tour event.

The 99th South African Open Championship will tee off at Pearl Valley Golf Estates near Paarl in the Western Cape from 17 20 December, with the next generation of global young golf stars seeking to take their place alongside the greats in the second oldest national Open in the game.
